    Introduction: Mention about the details of recent Supreme Court verdict regarding eviction of ST and OTFDs from forests. State facts about the extent of displacement it can cause. State needs to hold wider comprehensive surveys and ground reports , consult widely and seek to protect the livelihoods of tribals/marginalised groups. Need for a comprehensive rehabilitation policy too.Ordinance could also be considered as like in SC/ST Act case. Suggest a suitable way forward.
